Hi, I'm Caren

I make pixels move & flow with the cosmos

I’m a Brazilian motion designer living in Austin, TX since 2019. But my creative journey started long before that. At 18, curiosity led me to try Adobe Photoshop, and not long after that I was designing banners for a movie review site.

I was going to business school at the time and working in more traditional roles, but I always found ways to use my design skills in whatever I was doing. Over time, I realized what truly excited me was making pixels move. That pulled me out of the business world, into film school, and eventually into the world of motion design.

In my most recent role I've expanded into UI/UX, bringing motion thinking into interaction design and the overall user experience. I'm very interested in how design decisions shape the way people move through a product, from visual behavior and hierarchy to the small transitions that make interfaces feel clearer, smoother, and more intentional. I've also been using AI tools as part of my process to streamline ideation and production workflows, which can be a big help in moving faster and getting past creative blocks while staying thoughtful and on-brand.

My Work Experience

Aceable

2021-Now

At Aceable, I lead motion and visual design across marketing campaigns and product initiatives, working from concept and storyboarding through design, animation, and delivery. I design for national, multi-state campaigns and in-product experiences, including paid and social ads, landing pages, CTV spots, and motion and design systems that support both brand storytelling and conversion goals. I collaborate closely with marketing, product, and CRO teams, applying motion and design principles, and UI/UX thinking to improve clarity, usability, engagement and performance across digital channels.

Freelancer

2019-2021

I was a freelance motion designer for 2 years, during that period I worked closely with entertainment and tech clients to deliver end-to-end motion projects, including explainers, promotional videos, logo animations, and social campaigns. I handled everything from concept and design through animation and final delivery, adapting style and approach to each brand’s needs.

Conteúdo Filmes

2015-2018

At Conteúdo Filmes, I created 2D and 3D motion graphics for major cable TV networks such as Warner, Universal, Telecine, and Globoplay, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines and high production standards, delivering broadcast-ready promos, show packages, and branded content seen by large national audiences.

Brainstorming Entretenimento

2014-2015

At Brainstorming Entretenimento (now Brain+), I designed print materials such as press clipping albums, flyers, and other collateral for theatre productions. It was during this time that I also began exploring motion design in After Effects, creating animations for upcoming shows that were featured on the company’s website.
